The presiding deity in the temple is lord Srikrishna, and to the right of this beautiful vigraha Lord Kiratha Moorthi Siva’s also placed that was brought from river Ganga by the King himself. Famous Puliyannor Kunchunni Namboodiri Pad has done the Pradishta at a suggested time by astrologer Kodungallor Kochunninamboodirpad. The auspicious ceremony was carried out as identifying snake bite of nanikutttiamma’s brother as the indication. Even though this occasion was on an evening, Krishan Paruthu was circling the Kodimaram/flag pole. The event took place on year 1088 Edavam 4th.
Appan Tampuran himself has given structure for festival of this temple. The festival starts from Choti star in the month of Meenam and is carry forward till the thiruvonam arattu. The vary rarely seen event called desa pradashinam is part of this festival, in which thedevotees expected to take the god outside the temple and see his desam. During the sixth day of the festival with seven elephants the god has been taken. Later, Tampuran and family has been relocated and the temple become the keeredam of Vadakum Nathan Temple. Apart from the Sreekrishna and Kiratha moorthi, later pradishta of lord Ayyappa and ganapathi was also took place. Brahmarakshasu is also placed on a land that was later offered to the temple by a land lord adjacent to temple premises.
